Collaboration: Writer, Visual Art
Exquisite Corpse Company; Summer/Fall 2017
Exquisite Corpse Company invites you to a wedding...or perhaps the funeral... ...Join the celebration and jump to the surreal world of A Ribbon About a Bomb. Wander with Frida Kahlo, Remedios Varo, and Leonora Carrington through the abandoned halls of a mansion on Governors Island. Audiences will cycle and muse on, as often the artists did in life, the duality of humanity, womanhood, and art. The captivating, sometimes terrifying, work of these three women intertwine, as each attempts to shape their own reality in the face of systematic oppression and entrenched social hierarchies. Directed by Tess Howsam and written by a diverse team of ten playwrights, including Carmen Rivera, Alexis Roblan, Georgina Escobar, among others, the play will feature and original score by KG Garligton and will be performed within original art installations. FIREROCK is an innovative arts and climate project that engages our environmental crisis with heart, imagination and connection. At the heart of FIREROCK is an all-ages, mythical, musical production that comes in two forms: the full-scale, professional, musical production and PASS THE SPARK – scalable, adaptable, localized FIREROCK DIY performances and engagement activities meant to connect people to actions and each other. Intended to meet people in their emotional, moral and spiritual life, this project expands climate engagement through meaningful commitments and pathways to collective action that increase our adoption of a low-carbon life.

The Latinx Theatre Commons (LTC) is a self-organized collective of Latinx theatremakers and scholars from across the country who have chosen to adopt a commons-based approach to advocate for Latinx theatre as a vital, significant presence in the not-for-profit theatre sector. We foster emergent national leadership through an organic organizing method of activating our existing networks and expanding our circles of connection. We cultivate our collective wisdom through conscious conversation and conscientious community. All that we do seeks to celebrate diverse connections, honor our past with reflection, and envision our future with optimism and enthusiasm.

Horse Hair Strike Team; Waterville Maine 2013
A group of artists met in Maine for 5 weeks to devise a show for the community. We lived together, worked together, grew together and there are still red clown noses, (and a chair with our name on it, literally,) @ the Waterville Opera House.
